
Stifado – Beef with small Onions

In this recipe you can add more spices but I used what I had available. Remove skin from small onions and put them away. Now chop onion and garlics in very small pieces. Use a pot, add the oil and adjust heat on number 7. Place inside the onion, the garlics and cook for 5 minutes. Add beef, brown them for 10 minutes and then add the water. Continue adding the salt, the pepper, the bay leaves, the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, the vinegar , the sugar and the carnation. Now cook for another 1 hour and 45 minutes. Always check water if it needs more.
